Gemini
Prescott has been burned by love too many times. There’s no way she’s going
back down that road again. When she learns of mechanical men, she believes
she’s found the perfect antidote to her problems. Mechanical men can’t break
your heart. Mechanical men can’t cheat on you with your best friend. A
mechanical man is exactly what she needs.
But, something seems to be wrong with her personal robot. He doesn’t follow orders like he’s supposed to. Instead, he has demands of his own. Demands that leave her begging for more. She would return him to the manufacturer, but there’s this thing he does with his tongue that makes him a keeper.

Then he meets Gemini.
And everything changes.

~ Excerpt ~
She was stunning.
Her face was oval shaped. Her eyes were brown and shaped like a cat’s. He didn’t like cats. Aoki had one. Whenever she called him to her office, the damn thing was seated on the windowsill.
It stared at him like it owned the room and he was invading its space. Yeah, cats weren’t his favorite thing. But Gemini’s cat eyes were his new favorite thing. Her hair was straight and pulled back away from her face.
Her skin appeared soft. She looked… he didn’t know the words to describe how she looked. It was like watching the sun rise or set for the first time. Or looking up at the stars at night, watching them twinkle.
What had Chance called those things? Beautiful, that was what he called them. That was what Gemini was. She was beautiful, like the sunrise. An awkward silence filled the room. He knew he should say something.
He didn’t know what to say. He tried recalling the advice Chance had given him. What had his leader suggested he do when he first met his mistress? Compliment her, that was it. Zain cleared his throat, but the act didn’t stop his voice from coming out harsher than he intended.
“Your face is shaped well,” he growled.
“Huh?”
Her frown caused a crease to form in the space between her eyes. Even that was beautiful. He was messing this up. What the hell was wrong with him? He wasn’t Chance. He wasn’t good at giving compliments. Zain cleared his throat again.
“I meant to say, your hand is well.”
“That’s not what you said.”
Zain nodded. He knew that wasn’t what he said. He didn’t want to talk right now. His voice wasn’t working properly. Or did he always sound so harsh? He’d never noticed before, probably because he tried his best to avoid talking. Now was no different. He didn’t want to have a conversation. He just wanted to stare at her.
“Can I have my hand back?”
She tugged her hand. He didn’t release it. He liked her voice, when she wasn’t screeching. Listening to her talk wasn’t making his head hurt. He had a feeling he could listen to her talk for hours.
He felt her hand move again. He tightened his grip, not enough to hurt her. He simply wasn’t ready to release her. He told himself he was holding her hand because he didn’t want her to hit him again. But he knew it was because he liked the way her skin felt against his.
