Fredrick watched as Sarah made to get Michael’s attention, hiding his amusement. He saw the resolve on her face, saw that she would do what she could to keep Michael from choosing Eve but would go with him if it was, indeed, what he chose. He continued to stay quiet and watch the drama unfold, his amusement growing. Though his amusement was growing, so was his impatience. He had come topside with Eve hoping to spill some blood and he was beginning to think that wasn’t going to happen. He turned his attention to Eve and Michael, saw how hard she was working to get him to choose her and wondered if she had the power she thought she did over his decisions.
Michael pulled away from Eve’s kiss, looking for Sarah. He still wasn’t sure what was going on but he wanted a minute to discuss things with Sarah. He loved Eve, probably always would, but he and Sarah had grown close over the last year. They’d grieved the death of someone they held dear and now that very same someone was standing before them telling them something unbelievable. Sarah moved closer to him, holding her hand out as Michael gently pushed Eve away, “I need to talk to Sarah for a minute, Eve. Please? We need to discuss this. Can you hold on to that question while we talk?”
